ABOUT US
Thank you for my sobriety. Thank you for letting me serve, Barbara B.
DCMC REPORT JUNE 2008
Good news! Your General Service Representatives voted unanimously to submit a bid to the Area to host the Post-Conference Assembly in May 2009. And we got it! So mark your calendars for Saturday May 9, 2009 to make your way to the Ulatis Community Center in Vacaville to lend support and attend that assembly! The last time we hosted an assembly it took over one hundred volunteers so please make yourselves available!
Also, the California Northern Coastal Area (CNCA) is hosting the 2009 Pacific Regional Alcoholics Anonymous Service Assembly (PRAASA) in March 2009. Again, lots of help is needed to make that three day event a success. Please sign up at PRAASA.org to serve. You can make reservations in the hotel at this time and that's also recommended. Questions? Try CNCA06.org.
The District has formed an ad hoc committee to review the GSR training we offer so if you have input, please contact Mike D., Sr.
The Delgate's Report Unity Day was a resounding success with our sparkling Sharon B. talking about the Panel 58 Conference in New York this past April. The ice cream sundaes were a good interlude before the scheduled visit from two amazing cheerleaders dressed in red and white, wielding pom poms, dancing and leading the astonished crowd in a series of cheers for sobriety. Gut splitting laughter accompanied the visitation as the two tried to manage their suspenders and...um...well, I won't go there but needless to say...never mind! It was hysterical and if you missed it, I'm sad. I'd love to see that skit again!
Stay tuned see you next month!

is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
